Sculpture

Formally these pieces exist in the uncertain area between image and object and they comment on the changing roles of painting and sculpture. MacKinnon referred to his artworks as sculptures although they featured essentially two-dimensional imagery. In fact, the imagery is derived from promotional stills for motion pictures.
