Bookstore

The Eyelevel Bookstore is unique in Atlantic Canada for its dedication to showcasing artists' books, multiples, sound works, and publications from national and international artists and organizations.

As a member of the publishing consortium, Halifax INK, the Eyelevel Bookstore regularly attends book fairs such as the New York Art Book Fair and the Vancouver Art Book Fair. Selections for our inventory are made through the Eyelevel Reshelving Initiative (ERI), a biennial exhibition of artist's books and multiples.

In addition to these biennial exhibitionsthe Eyelevel's Printed Matter Program presents lectures, publications, and residencies. Through this aspect of our program, Eyelevel has partnered with organizations such as Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (Dawson City, Yukon), Struts Gallery (Sackville, NB), the Dawson Printshop, Letterpress Gang and the Roberts Street Social Centre (Halifax, NS) to create opportunities for local and visiting artists to develop their practice in the medium of printed matter.

Visit our bookstore website for Eyelevel Reshelving Initiative 8's online catalogue and bookstore, and for more information on ERI 8.
