Recognition and Mnemonic / Dealey Plaza
******
In his work, Mr. Denniston deals with image and memory. He photographs different locales and uses them according to how they strike a chord in our recollection. This is linked to the déjà vu experience. In the piece “Dealey Plaza” is a collection of colour photographs showing a panoramic view of the scene of Persident Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, Texas. The artist includes other images which act as reminders of these sites as well as media images and quotes which refer to other aspects of recollection.
