Rebirth of the Goddess

The piece consists of a 15 minute poem “Rebirth of the Goddess”, which deals with personal rebirth, rebirth of the light at the time of the solstice, and a need for (currently) a rebirth on the earth of awareness of the earth and her cycles. The poem works on several different levels, and has a dramatic quality evoking North American Indian poetry.”

Through the use of ritual, chanting, movement, light, and masks the two performers and the audience act together to create a ritual of the rebirth of light, in the individual as well as the world.
