HEAT WAVES incoming !!!

Another 2 weeks has already gone by! Eyelevel is excited to be welcoming Kris Reppas into our space as the next Heat Waves artist in residence. Kris will be with us from August 10th to August 22nd. Stay tuned for what @Kris_reppas (instagram handle) will be up to!

Kris Reppas (he/him) is a Queer, Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) artist currently residing in K’jipuktuk, the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Mi’kmaq People. His work brings together screenprinting, pornography, and beadwork in order to make conversations around sex, gender, and pornography more accessible. Growing up in a small conservative town, Kris found that these conversations were increasingly hard to participate in. As a result, he creates work that is meant to be tactile. The viewer can interact with the prints based on their boundaries and come to terms with these topics in a safe environment that promotes healing, kinship, and grounding.
