This exhibition by artist Nicholas Wade created a series of interrupted narratives through the use of large scale drawings and sculpture. Nicholas Wade has in the past used biographical narratives to explore the process of growing up and to look at how we acquire and learn values. “Nowhere to Run” his new exhibition at Eye Level Gallery does not use a specific narrative or site reference but is rather a group of objects related only by a thread of information. Several times photographs are used to suggest a connection between various objects. “Nowhere to Run” also combines drawings loosely based on formal garden plans with the large representational sculptures. Relying heavily on his own intuitive process Wade had created a diverse grouping of object and drawings all which are presented as some form of container.
