A series of mixed media drawings on vellum and oil on paper, on the theme of dresses. Daley presents these objects in various environments combined with dresses of different denotative value in an examination of the cultural role of these objects. With The Nectarine (After Chernobyl), was a series done in West Berlin during the summer of 1986. It was a direct response chronicling the events surrounding reaction to the disaster from the perspective of daily life in Berlin. In The Lounge, consisted of large drawings of women’s clothing; ball gowns, house dresses and stocking. These represented the female body in order to examine the construction of a culturally fetishized feminine identity.
