An attempt to give a preciousness or value (real or apparent) to objects which, in the state they were found, would normally be seen as worthless, is the subject of local artist Daniel Olson’s installation “Junk”. Objects culled from the public and private realms are manipulated in ways such that they are effectively treated or presented as paintings; raising questions about painting as the ultimate art form.
