In Habit

In habit is a 1/12 scale model of a room. On the television and screen behind the windows are images (video and slides) of the landscape and people from Great Whale, Northern Quebec, site of a proposed hydro project. The room floods with water and drains out again when the viewer presses a button. The exhibition explored our conceptual differences of the meaning of home. A home as the house we live in versus the home as the land that we inhabit.
