Facets

Facets, a performance comprising four premieres, has caused Pat Richards to take a long hard look at herself and her choreography. The first piece “Finding Herself” is a direct result of this self analysis. Influenced by Sarah Jackson’s series of xerographics entitled the same, the resulting piece is a metamorphosis of all the wandering thoughts and ideas. In “Being Together” the interdependence of two males explored with a discovery of the capabilities of their bodies, how they support and interconnect with each other. “Tryptch” developed from two into three, making the dynamic shift from male to female, but exploring the same interconnection and shifts of support and focus. “Numbers 1-4” brings it all together.
