Eyelevel Film Club: Tampopo + The Hole
Film Club No. 2 is here and we’re coming out with a banger! On March 14th we’ll be screening two international sensations back-to-back— Juzo Itami’s “Tampopo” (1985) and Tsai Ming Liang’s “The Hole” (1998).
At 3pm— Iconic Ramen-Western “Tampopo” is a fantastic, genre-bending quest for the perfect ramen recipe. Tampopo is often described as “one of the most mouthwatering examples of food on film ever made.” —
At 5:30pm— "The Hole" explores the final days in 1999. When almost everyone in Taiwan has died, two strangers connect by a hole searches for intimacy in a world of disaster.
NOTE: Ramen will be served!
