Her background in modern dance, mime and theatre are fused to develop a magnificent piece with a strong and definite story that weaves itself throughout the movement, music and text forming an endearing portrait of a woman. In the work Dulcinea uses a five foot plastic hoop which she manipulates to develop a relationship that is more akin to a dance partner than a simple prop. Narrative texts by Alice Ronfard with music by kurt Weil direct and make more concrete Langfelder’s touching and funny story. “Vicious Circles” has been enthusiastically received by both critics and the audiences in Europe and North America where it has been presented extensively.
