Changing Scales

The piece is in two parts of about 30-35 minutes each. The second half is to be viewed using 3-D glasses. Changing Scales combines the elements of film and slides, original music and text and movement on stilts. The viewer will find a light sense of playfulness and a certain ironic self-reflectiveness. The texture of the piece alternates between the dreaminess of fading images and sharp, clear reality of impact.Changing Scales puns on several different motifs found within the piece: the shedding of skins, the shifting of perspectives and fluctuations of pitch and tonal centres.
