Desnoyers made five different material kinds of marbles, using traditional sculptural materials. The materials and a microwave oven rested on the floor. The use of the oven is based on the notion that the sculptural materials are formed through heat, a female process of incubation, and the dimension of the marbles being the size of the microwave electromagnetic wave length.
