Arctic Plant Talk With Barbara Akoak
Join us on July 4th at 5:30 pm (both in-person and live-streamed via Zoom) for Barbara Akoak’s talk on the uses of arctic plants— many of which can be found right here in Kjipuktuk/Halifax! Barb, an Inuk artist originally from Nunavut, will be sharing her knowledge of finding and using arctic plants as both natural medicine and art materials. We invite all who are interested to come and learn more about some of Kjipuktuk’s local flora, and how we can incorporate them into our daily lives!
This event will be held at the Wonder’neath Project Space (2482 Maynard Street). Please find access notes for the space here: eyelevel.art/accessibility. Masks are required and will be provided. ASL interpretation will be provided.
