ivan (no pronouns) is an emerging artist who works and lives in unceded Mi'kmaw'ki. As a visual artist, ivan's body and everyday objects are the subjects of self-portraits that communicate the visceral, ephemeral experiences that emerge from everyday life. ivan's most recent work is focusing on confronting, making visible, and sitting with, as one way to learn from, shame, silence, and pain brought on trauma within settler-colonial societies.
