Art about nature lovers and the connection between animals and people fills Eyelevel Gallery the week of August 2-6, in a show titled Biological Society. Artists Jessica Carlile, Rian Davidson, Anke Holm, Nelson Hubley, Ruth Marsh, Genevieve Long, Bethany Riordan-Butterworth, Jonathan Rotsztain, Heather Saunders, Eleanor Simmons, and NSCAD Community Collaborations will exhibit their work in the fourth installment of Eyelevel Gallery’s five week series of members’ shows: Members’ Weekly.

Organized by Lisa Folkerson, Biological Society showcases a diverse range of artists with very different artistic practices; the show encompasses painting, terrariums, glass fusing, performance, installation, photography, yarrn-drawing, textiles and workshops.

Ruth Marsh will have office hours throughout the week from 2:00pm-4:00pm and Walking Tours will happen on the half hour in those times or by appointment. Starting earlier on Tuesday, August 9th Ruth will be available at 1:00 o'clock!

NSCAD Community Collaborations, Youthnet and The 4C's Foundation will be hosting Illuminate: Free Community Lantern Workshop on Tuesday, Aug, 9th between 2- 5. Join St. George's Youthnet and NSCAD students to make handmade glowing works of art!

Rian Davidson will be performing Vexations ( Erik Satie - 1893 ) in its intended entirety. The work will be played in installments throughout the week commencing August 8th @ 7PM

Also being launched will be the fourth of five fortune tellers featuring original art and fortunes by contemporary artists. The Biological Society fortune teller has drawings by Rebecca Singer and fortunes by Ben Stephenson.
