Members Gallery | When The Words Are Missing

15 Oct – 1 Nov 2015

When communicating using spoken language, there is often more that remains unsaid. Sometimes there is nothing left to say but after the conversation ends, it feels as though there is something hanging in the air. What my family is not very good at is sharing themselves with each other. Members of my family do not communicate their feelings and as a child, to understand at least intuitively what was going on, through observation, I searched for little nuances in their behaviour that would then help me understand. The displayed photographs are selected from a long-term documentary series focusing on the garden that my family has shared for three generations. - Adéla Kremplová
