The Deportment of Indian Affairs
******
Teresa Marshall is an urban Mi’kmaq artist living in an occupied Canada. She was raised on both a “red Indian” and “white” Military reservation which, as symbolized by the national flag, would make her truly “Canadian”. Being born between two worlds has necessitated an intense critical exploration of her dual identities which she explores through writing, art-making, theatre and research. Teresa has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows.
